Treasures of Scotland: Exploring Scottish Archaeology Pop-up & Talk

with the Scottish Treasure Trove Unit

Come join us for an afternoon as we welcome Scottish Treasure Trove unit to Museum nan Eilean in Benbecula.

Enjoy a handling session with typical Scottish finds in our pop-up display followed by a talk about the law of Treasure Trove that makes Scotland so unique.

There will also be the opportunity to learn about star finds from the Western Isles.

Everyone interested in history and archaeology is welcome.

If you would like to show anything you’ve found in Scotland, particularly in the Outer Hebrides, or collect objects from the Treasure Trove Unit that they have disclaimed, please be sure to book an appointment with them through their calendar.
