More about Barbara Henderson:
Barbara has written a number of novels for children including Fir For Luck (2016), Punch (2017), Wilderness Wars (2018), Black Water (2019), The Chessmen Thief (2021), The Boy, the Witch and the Queen of Scots (2024) and To War With Wallace (2025). Her stories are usually inspired by Scottish historical events and characters. Barbara’s ideas have often been sparked by visits to museums and historical sites. The author is currently working with Stornoway Primary School on a series of creative writing workshops inspired by historical places.
