South Harris Historical Society (Comunn Eachdraidh Ceann a Deas na Hearadh) was established in 2017 to preserve and promote the heritage of the area. The Society collects archives, photographs, information and artefacts relating to their district. The Society is based in the former Leverhulme Memorial School and will have a programme of exhibitions and displays when the redevelopment of the building is completed.
